I can’t select my license fileMake sure the file extension is correct, it should be .smuginLicense web based Gmail sometimes saves it with an extra .xml extension. Remove this extra extension and all should be well.
How do I use the plugin?
Once the plugin is installed simply select some images in Aperture and then right-click to bring up the context menu, you will find the plugin under the Export submenu.
The plugin does not appear in the Export menu
- Make sure the plugin has been installed correctly (in your home folder Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/Export folder).
- Make sure that you haven’t installed both SmuginForAperture and SmuginProForAperture.
- Make sure the Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/Export is not read-only.
- Don’t forget to restart Aperture after installing the plugin.
Does the plugin support video?
Unfortunately Apple still don’t provide an API for exporting video, the plugin will support video when Apple provides the API.
Why is there no progress information in the Aperture plugins?
The current version of Aperture does not report the progress information, I hope a fix from Apple will be forthcoming soon. This has been fixed as of Aperture 3.3.
Why does cancel nor work in the Aperture plugins?

My license has disappeared - why?
The 3.4 Aperture update introduced sandboxing and the license is no longer accessible by the plugin, simply reinstall your license and all will be back to normal. If you can’t find your license let me know and I will forward a copy.
